Horseback Riding
Come and ride down sandy white beaches with the waves lapping at your horses feet. Our beach ride experience takes to the southernmost beach in California, right up to the border fence. Dolphins, pelicans, seals and endangered birds can be seen on this beautiful stretch of beach.
- Two hour private, guided ride through the nature preserve with approximately 20 minutes on the beach: $100 per rider.
- Three hour private, guided ride through the nature preserve with 60-90 minutes on the beach: $140 per rider.

Have you ever wanted to take a horse in the water?
Of course you have!
Horses love the ocean and our Swim Adventure Ride guides you and your horse into waves up to their chests.
Great for hot days - plan on getting wet! These excursions leave daily are are timed to reach the beach at low tide.
Because of the dynamic interaction of horse and wave, this ride is not recommended for first time or nervous riders.
Three hour private, guided ride through the nature preserve with approximately 60 minutes on the beach: $150/ rider.

Summer Camp
Small specialty overnight camp focused on horseback riding, caring for horses, and traditional camp fun! Our summer camp gives kids and teenagers (nine to sixteen years old) the unique experience of riding horseback, getting to know their horses’ personalities, and learning how to care and feed their horse.
Our camp curriculums focus on fun, horsemanship, and safety.
Campers need to bring:
- A sack lunch
- At least 2 snacks
- Long pants (required for riding)
- Closed toe shoes (required for riding)
- We suggest wearing layers and labeling all belongings.
A detailed confirmation email is sent out the week prior to the camp.
Field Trips
Your group will get to visit with our horses and ponies, learn what they eat, a bit about their habits and how we take care for these special animals.
We also have many other farm animals to spend time with! you’ll meet our silly goats, adorable mini donkey and mini horses and our flock of happy chickens!
Price $10 per child/adult includes:
- 1 hour tour of our facilities
- Animal treats to feed our various furry friends
- Bottle feeding baby animals
- Wagon ride around the horse pastures
- Picnic area (for 1 hour after the program)

We’ve seen it all! From rustic, shabby chic, vintage to simply elegant, you can design each space to your ideal style in partnership with our onsite Event Directors. Together, we help curate your perfect, farm-style experience.
When you choose Sweetwater Farms for your special day, you receive so much more than just the the location. Vintage decor + furniture, seating, tables + linens, two day-of event coordinators and more are included in your booking, creating elevated designs and adding stress-free planning to your perfect day!
Birthday Parties
Basic Birthday Party Package includes use of our playground and picnic area for 3 hours. The picnic area is under a large, beautiful oak tree and has about 20 picnic tables.
Our playground includes
- Access to our swings, mulch mountain, trees to climb and assorted other playground toys.
- A visit to our farm animal exhibit which is in easy walking distance of the playground.
